Applications are invited for support from the CMRF Travel Grants Fund to facilitate attendance at overseas and national conferences. Eligibility will be restricted to research staff at the level of Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow or Research Associate Professor. Applicants should have no other regular funding source available to them. Priority will be given to suitable CMRF project grant researchers to present their work at acceptable scientific meetings. Academic senior staff and senior medical officers are not eligible for these awards.

Funding should be used for travel to a selected and approved scientific meeting closely related to the applicant’s field of research and preference will be given to those presenting results of their own research undertaken in Christchurch.

Travel Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis and priority will be given to applications with a clear research benefit, (applicants reporting their own work, and with limited alternative sources of support - ie who are ineligible for grants for academic staff).

Wherever possible a grant will be made which covers a portion of the estimated costs of the conference up to $2000.

Conditions

Submission procedure

Log into the CMRF Portal at portal.cmrf.org.nz and create a new application. Ensure all the required details are entered and all necessary documents have been attached. The application can then be submitted by clicking on the submit button.
