Conditions
1. Canterbury Medical Research Foundation will offer small research grants-in-aid of up to$5,000 to a total pool of $15,000 per annum, available to all researchers residing in Canterbury, New Zealand.
1. There will be one application round per year awarding up to three grants. These grants are for up to a one year period
1. The grants are intended to assist researchers e.g. in running small, pilot studies to ascertain information or a project, which might assist in a larger grant application. This is not for travel or conference expenses.
1. Confirm your current tenure or employment contract covers the term of the grant.
1. Application form only accepted with Researchers CV attached.
1. A final report is required.
Administrative agreement
All applications for Foundation grants must include an undertaking to abide by the following administrative agreement:1. It is understood and agreed that any grant received as a result of this application is subject to the rules and regulations of the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation, and that the grant funds will not be expended for any other purpose than that described in this application and that progress reports will be provided as detailed on the Instructions to Applicants.1. The host institution agrees and undertakes to bear all the risks and claims connected with any operation covered by this application and to indemnify and hold harmless the Foundation against any and all liability suits, actions, demands, damages, costs or fees on account of death, injuries to persons or property, or any other losses resulting from or connected with any act or omission performed in the course of the research.1. The host institution agrees and undertakes to support for the duration of any grant the work described in this application by making available accommodation, basic facilities for research and the services necessary for its fulfilment.1. If a grant is made by the Foundation on the basis of this application, the Head of Department agrees to accept this research within his/her Department. The Head of Department also notes that he/she may be asked at any time for a confidential assessment of the research and its implications for the Department.1. The Foundation reserves the right at all times to publish information concerning the purpose and results of this grant.1. Reporting: A final report, as well as final billing from the host institution, is required no later than three months after completion of project.To apply, you must have read the administrative agreement printed above. By submitting your application you are undertaking to abide by the conditions of this agreement in respect of any grant made by the Foundation as a result of the present application.
Submission procedure
Log into the CMRF Portal at portal.cmrf.org.nz and create a new application. Ensure all the required details are entered and all necessary documents have been attached. The application can then be submitted by clicking on the submit button.
